How to Claim Your Spotify for Creators Show Using Flightcast


 


1. Complete all podcast details in Flightcast 0:10

  • In Flightcast, go to Podcast → General.
  • Fill out every field in the podcast details form.
  • This is required so Flightcast can send your show to Spotify correctly and so Spotify can email you during the claim process.


 


2. Publish at least one episode 0:24

  • Make sure you have at least one episode published.
  • The episode must be live on Spotify or available through your RSS feed.
  • If you have no live episodes yet, your show will not appear on Spotify.


 


3. Verify the show appears in Spotify integrations 0:38

  • In Flightcast, go to Podcast → Integrations.
  • Click the Spotify integration.
  • If you see "your show couldn't load", that usually means no episodes are live yet.
  • Once the show loads, you’re ready to claim it.


 


4. Copy your RSS feed from Flightcast 0:56

  • Go to Podcast → General in Flightcast.
  • Find your RSS feed at the top of the page.
  • If you don’t see it, either:
  • you haven’t published an episode yet, or
  • you need to be on a Flightcast plan that includes feed access.
  • Click the copy button to copy the RSS URL.


 


5. Start the claim process in Spotify for Creators 1:15

  • Open a new tab and go to creators.spotify.com.
  • Click Login or Sign up in the top right.
  • After logging in, you should land on an Add a podcast screen.
  • If you already have shows, click your profile icon in the top right and choose Add a new show.


 


6. Find your existing show using the RSS feed 1:36

  • On the add-show screen, choose Find an existing show.
  • Paste in the RSS feed copied from Flightcast.
  • The feed should look something like rss2.flightcast.com/....
  • If Spotify shows a blue popup saying your podcast might already be on Spotify, that’s a good sign.


 


7. Fix missing metadata if Spotify can’t validate the feed 1:50

  • If you see errors like "no email found" or "no author found", return to Flightcast.
  • Go back to Podcast → General.
  • Fill in any missing podcast details, especially the email and author-related fields.
  • Then return to Spotify and try again.


 


8. Confirm the show and request the verification code 2:11

  • Click Next through the confirmation screen.
  • Spotify will send an 8-digit code.
  • Click Send code to trigger the email.
  • The code will be sent to the email address listed in your Flightcast podcast details.


 


9. Enter the code to claim permanent access 2:21

  • Paste the 8-digit code into Spotify for Creators.
  • Once verified, your email will have permanent access to the show in Spotify.
  • From then on, you can manage the show through that Spotify account/email.
