How to Add Chapters to a Flightcast Description


 


1. Prepare your chapter list 0:00

  • Open the Chapters section in Flightcast.
  • Make sure it includes all of your chapters.
  • If you don’t want to write them manually, wait until your transcript is ready and use Generate chapters with AI.


 


2. Insert the chapters placeholder into the description 0:18

  • Go to the description field.
  • Start a fresh line where you want the chapters to appear.
  • Click the bookmark icon labeled Insert chapters placeholder.
  • This adds a line that says Flightcast Chapters into your description.
  • Optional: type "Chapters:" before the placeholder if you want it labeled.


 


3. Let Flightcast format chapters for each platform 0:28

  • When published, the placeholder is replaced with your full chapter list.
  • Flightcast automatically formats chapters for each platform.
  • Examples:
  • YouTube: standard chapter format
  • Spotify: chapters appear with parentheses
  • Other platforms: formatted appropriately for that platform


 


4. Save and publish 0:48

  • Click Save to apply the changes.
  • Flightcast will send the description with chapters to all selected platforms.
