How to Run Video Ads on FlightCast


 


1. Open the Ads section 0:00

  • In FlightCast, click Ads in the left sidebar.
  • From the Ads menu, you can either:
  • Edit an existing campaign, or
  • Create a new campaign if you don’t already have one.


 


2. Create a campaign and advertiser if needed 0:10

  • If you don’t have a campaign yet, create one first.
  • Example setup shown in the Loom:
  • Campaign name: Test video campaign
  • Advertiser name: Test video advertiser
  • Category: Other
  • Click Create Advertiser first, then Create Campaign.


 


3. Add a new ad to the campaign 0:36

  • Once the campaign exists, add ads to it.
  • On the right side, click Create Your First Ad.


 


4. Configure the video ad creative 0:42

  • In Creative Type, select Video.
  • Enter a title for the ad.
  • Choose the placement type:
  • Pre-roll (before the episode)
  • Mid-roll (during the episode)
  • Post-roll (after the episode)
  • Upload your MP4 file.


 


5. Make sure the video meets platform requirements 0:57

  • The video file should be 90 seconds or less.
  • This limit is based on Spotify’s current restrictions.
  • At the moment, video ads will only play on Apple Podcasts.
  • They may also work on other RSS-based video platforms such as iHeartRadio.
  • Support for additional platforms may be added later as their video capabilities expand.


 


6. Publish the ad and activate the campaign 1:23

  • After adding the video, click Create Ad.
  • Set the campaign status to Active.
  • Click Save Changes.
  • Once saved, the video ads will begin running on your show on Apple.
