How to Replace a Live or Scheduled Video Episode


 


1. Open the episode and start the replacement upload 0:00

  • Open the episode you want to replace.
  • Click Upload New at the top.
  • Drop in the new video file and wait for it to finish uploading.


 


2. Review the replacement behavior before publishing 0:20

  • After the upload completes, you’ll get a Preview and Update option.
  • This pop-up shows what will happen on each platform when you publish the replacement.
  • RSS feed / Spotify: the new video and audio publish immediately, replacing the old file.


 


3. Understand the YouTube impact 0:30

  • YouTube cannot replace the existing video in the same way.
  • When you publish the update, the current public or scheduled YouTube video becomes private and unscheduled.
  • A completely new YouTube video is created instead.


 


4. Confirm before publishing the edit 0:57

  • If the episode was already live, the new YouTube upload will start at zero views.
  • Make this choice carefully if preserving views matters.
  • If the episode was only scheduled, this is generally not a concern.
  • Check the confirmation box acknowledging that a new YouTube video will be created and the existing one will be made private.
  • Click Publish Edits to finish.
