  • Enabling Video in RSS lets you add HLS video to your RSS feed.
  • This means your feed can deliver video, not just audio.
  • Some podcast apps can read and display video from RSS feeds when this option is enabled.

3. Understand which apps can use the video 0:24

  • Certain apps, such as iHeartRadio, can accept:
  • Audio only
  • Video only
  • Both audio and video
  • When video in RSS is enabled, supported apps can pick up the video automatically.

4. Keep audio available for apps that do not support video 0:50

  • Turning on video in RSS does not remove your audio feed.
  • Platforms that only support audio will continue to use the audio version.
  • Platforms that support video can use the video version instead.
  • In many cases, apps that take the video are still using the audio track from the video.

5. Use Apple Podcasts video setup if needed 1:03

  • If your goal is specifically to set up video for Apple Podcasts, use the dedicated Apple Podcasts setup instructions.
  • Scroll up and follow the Apple Podcasts Video Setup Instructions for that platform.
  • This setting is separate from the general video-in-RSS option.
