How to Set Up YouTube to Podcast Sync in Flightcast


 


1. Open the YouTube to Podcast Sync settings 0:00

  • In Flightcast, go to Podcast in the left sidebar.
  • Click Integrations at the top.
  • Scroll down until you find YouTube to Podcast Sync.
  • This is the setting area used to automatically republish YouTube videos to podcast platforms.


 


2. Understand what the sync does 0:33

  • Flightcast checks your YouTube channel for new videos every 6 hours.
  • When enabled, it can automatically sync your YouTube content to podcast platforms like:
  • Spotify
  • Apple Podcasts
  • Other podcast platforms
  • This helps you repost video content as podcast episodes without manual uploads.


 


3. Choose whether to sync new uploads or your back catalog 0:48

  • You can enable sync for only new videos going forward.
  • Or you can turn it on for your entire back catalog.
  • This gives you flexibility depending on whether you want to start fresh or migrate existing content.


 


4. Make sure Flightcast is connected to the right playlist 0:54

  • Flightcast pulls videos from the playlist linked to your channel.
  • During channel setup, you’ll either:
  • Select an existing playlist, or
  • Let Flightcast create one for you
  • Any videos added to that playlist will be eligible for automatic syncing.


 


5. Sync all eligible uploads automatically 1:04

  • Videos uploaded to the connected playlist will sync automatically.
  • YouTube Shorts are excluded and will not be synced.
  • If you want Flightcast to follow all uploads in the playlist, choose all videos when connecting your YouTube channel.
  • Once configured, YouTube to Podcast Sync will keep monitoring that playlist for new content.
