How to Submit Your Show to Apple Podcasts in Flightcast

1. Open the Apple Podcasts submission flow in Flightcast 0:00

• In Flightcast, go to Podcasts on the left sidebar.
• Click Directories at the top.
• Select Apple Podcasts.
• You should see the 3-step submission flow:
• RSS feed
• Apple Podcasts link
• Paste/submit step
• Note: this tutorial is for submitting a show to Apple Podcasts, not enabling video.

2. Make sure your show is ready before submitting 0:23

• If your RSS feed is missing, check these requirements:
• You have completed all onboarding.
• You have published at least one episode.
• You have an active paid Flightcast subscription.
• Before submitting, go to Podcasts → General in Flightcast.
• Fill out all podcast details.
• Apple may reject the submission if any required fields are missing.

3. Copy your RSS feed and open Apple Podcasts Connect 0:43

• Return to Directories → Apple Podcasts.
• Copy your RSS feed link.
• Click Go to Apple Podcasts.
• This opens podcastconnect.apple.com.
• Sign in or create an Apple account if needed.

4. Add a new show in Apple Podcasts Connect 0:57

• In Apple Podcasts Connect, next to Podcasts, click the purple plus (+) button.
• Choose New Show.
• Select Add a show with an RSS feed.
• Click Next.
• Paste your RSS feed into the field.
• Click Add.

5. Wait for Apple to process the show 1:19

• Apple will begin processing your show details.
• The show will appear in a draft state while processing completes.
• This can take a while, so check back later.
• Once processing is done, the Publish button should appear in the top right.

6. Set the update frequency and publish the show 1:35

• Before publishing, set the update frequency.
• Example: if you publish weekly, choose Weekly.
• Click Save.
• Then click Publish.
• Your show will now be live on Apple Podcasts.
• You should also see an Apple Podcast Show ID and a public Apple Podcasts URL.

7. Copy the Apple Podcasts URL and submit it back in Flightcast 1:57

• Copy your Apple Podcasts URL.
• Open it in a new tab if you want to confirm it eventually appears.
• It may take some time before the show is fully visible.
• Go back to Flightcast.
• Paste the Apple Podcasts link into Step 3 of the Apple Podcasts submission flow.
• Click Submit.

8. Confirm Flightcast recognizes the show 2:07

• Once submitted, Flightcast will know your show is on Apple Podcasts.
• This connection is used later when you set up video.
• After a short time, the show should appear live in Flightcast with your episode(s).
