* The **middle of the screen** is where you upload and edit episode content.
* Add your:
* Video or audio file
* Thumbnail
* Cover art
* Title
* Description
* Chapters
* Other episode metadata
* The **right side** is the publishing panel, where you choose where the episode will go live.
* If the publishing panel is hidden, use the **drawer icon in the top-right** to show or hide it.

**3. Upload your media and artwork** [0:29](https://loom.com/share/54cf3ed9abba4549bafc3b6975bb5764?t=29)

![generated-image-at-00:00:29](https://loom.com/i/27f0016f62654d808cd1628cb3ce0b98?workflows_screenshot=true)

* Upload your episode file first.
* Add a **16:9 thumbnail** if you’re publishing video.
* This will be used for platforms like **YouTube** and **Spotify video**.
* Add **cover art** for audio platforms.
* This is used across audio destinations such as RSS-based podcast apps.
* You only need to upload once unless you want different files for different platforms.

**4. Set the episode details** [0:44](https://loom.com/share/54cf3ed9abba4549bafc3b6975bb5764?t=44)

![generated-image-at-00:00:44](https://loom.com/i/27e36d9ecae948a3815f7b9d454712c6?workflows_screenshot=true)

* Choose when the episode should go live:
* Click **Schedule** to publish immediately.
* Or set a future publish time.
* Fill in the main episode fields:
* **Title**
* **Description**
* **Chapters**
* Optional metadata like **author name** or **season number** can be added at the bottom, but they are not required.

**5. Let the file process, but don’t wait to publish** [1:15](https://loom.com/share/54cf3ed9abba4549bafc3b6975bb5764?t=75)

![generated-image-at-00:01:15](https://loom.com/i/44dfd7df2458407388781ca71e8c065c?workflows_screenshot=true)

* After uploading, the video will begin processing in the top-right.
* You do **not** need to wait for processing to finish before publishing.
* Some platforms, especially **Apple Video**, may require the video to finish processing first.
* If so, those platforms may go live a little later than others.

**6. Customize content per platform if needed** [1:31](https://loom.com/share/54cf3ed9abba4549bafc3b6975bb5764?t=91)

![generated-image-at-00:01:31](https://loom.com/i/b424865cd97f4d4c948955935473c95d?workflows_screenshot=true)

* Use the **Customize** section if you want different settings for different platforms.
* Examples:
* Publish to **YouTube at 5 PM** and everywhere else at **7 PM**.
* Upload a different audio file for the **RSS feed**.
* Use a different video file for **Spotify** or **YouTube**.
* If you don’t need platform-specific versions, just upload once and let Flightcast distribute it everywhere.

**7. Use AI to generate titles, descriptions, and chapters** [2:32](https://loom.com/share/54cf3ed9abba4549bafc3b6975bb5764?t=152)

![generated-image-at-00:02:32](https://loom.com/i/3d24b17e1c2048f898a9c5e1ce6779e9?workflows_screenshot=true)

* Once processing is complete, Flightcast can generate content with AI.
* AI suggestions are based on:
* The episode transcript
* Your previous titles and style
* You can generate:
* **Titles**
* **Descriptions**
* **Chapters**
* For titles, you’ll get multiple options (for example, 10 choices) and can scroll through them before applying the one you want.

**8. Choose where the episode will publish** [3:11](https://loom.com/share/54cf3ed9abba4549bafc3b6975bb5764?t=191)

![generated-image-at-00:03:11](https://loom.com/i/84876dafcde44a6ebdc35e6650fd6ccb?workflows_screenshot=true)

* In the publishing panel on the right, turn on the destinations you want.
* Common options include:
* **RSS**
* **YouTube**
* **Spotify**
* You can also customize platform-specific settings, such as:
* Adding the episode to a **YouTube playlist**
* Publishing **audio only** to Spotify
* Using separate titles for audio vs. video versions
